Wax Residue Removal From A Hardwood Floor
Removing wax from a polyurethane wood floor takes a bit of know-how. House cleaners tend to polish wood floors with polishing products when cleaning a home. Wood floors look great the first few times wax is added to make them shine, but after a while, the wax starts to build up and flake, just like in the photo below. At Sandless in Seattle we use professional strength wax stripper that we spray onto the hardwood floor then we let it dwell until the wax turns cloudy then we strip it off with speciality equipment. After the wax is removed many clients have us do a screen and single recoat. When we are done the floor looks new again.
